I didn't price the kit, since the old pistons were in bad shape, and I didn't mind paying $80 to avoid the hassle of rebuilding.
It could very well be the master cylinder, since I agree that both calipers acting up at the same time is odd. Both of my calipers were bad, but the right one was worse - hence the pulling. But if your calipers are still the originals with 200k miles and the pistons are showing some rust, it probably wouldn't be a bad idea to replace them with rebuilts.
