I have a 2000 dually with a 4. 10 rear diff with limited spin, I would like to install a 355 or 373 ratio , will this bolt on my original carrier? I have been told yes by some and no by others? I was also told that a Ford dually 373 would bolt right up to my carrier too? if anyone can help, I would really appreciate it!

Don't know, but...

I would go with a 3:55. I had an 00 2500 w/ 3:55 and it pulled my 17K lb 5th wheel fine. I traded it for 02 3500 w/ 4:10s pulls fine, but I run empty a lot and get about 2 -3 mpg less.

Oh, BTW: you need another carrier for 3:55 (I've been told). Don't know about 3:73s, but you won't get enough difference IMHO to justify that little change.

they make thin 3. 73 for your 4. 10 carrier. but if you want 3. 55 then you need a new posi case and put your internals into it. the change will drop you 500 RPMs when driveingthe 3. 73 will only dropyou 250 rpms

new gears...

J, why don't you look for a whole rear end from an 01. 5-02 wrecked dually. You can get 3. 54's and disc brakes to boot.

I can't wait to get some 3. 55's stuffed in my dually. Between fuel prices and the 4. 10's it takes some of the fun out of the long runs. ;)
