Good thing this is a pulling truck. D80 in an offroad truck sure would be a ditch digger!! :D

Nice bling, man. :)

Scott, did you have to modify the ARB at all, or were you able to use their regular 37-spline D80 application? (RD91 or RD115, I think?)

Chris

Its actully a RD53 for a DANA 70HD 4. 56 & up since they don't make the DANA 80 one in 4:10. They switched out the side gears to the RD91 and I had to drill the holes out in the ring gear to 37/64 ths.

Thanks for the info. So how do you like the ARB so far? I've been going back and forth trying to decide between the Detroit and the ARB - I think you've run both, right? How do they compare strength-wise, just looking at them? Any obvious weaknesses? I ran a Detroit in my Jeep before switching to a spool, so I'm familiar with the driving manners, just concerned about the strength...

Chris

Not sure of the strenght as of yet, have only had one pull so far and I only went a foot as I had some problems getting the front to turn. Just got home and haven't investigated yet, truck is still on trailer. Next pull out here isnt till the middle of next month either :(
