Just received a new Dana 80 housing w/ring&pinion and hubs. I paid $1600 for it from Dodge. I will add a "Detriot Locker" ,"Moser" axles and a "EGR" disc brake kit. I priced out the same setup through "Dynatrac" and it would have cost me over $5500. For those looking to up grade from the Dana 70 in automatic equiped trucks now is the time. I will end up saving over $2000 by buying pieces.

Not wanting to rain on your parade, but... any reason why you did not choose to find a used D80 from a 2001. 5 and newer truck with rear disk brakes? I would think you could get one of thse from a wrecked truck for less than 2000. 00?

Just curious. I agree, Dynatrac is too expensive. Most of the 4 wheelers guys call them, "Dynarape. "
