I need a Dana 80 2500 single rear wheel 3. 54 or 4. 10 posi?

2001 or 2002

My 1997 Dana 70 is junk. 200k miles and bent axle tube.

I want to do this right the first time.

Anyone know where I can find a good used rear end?

San Felipe Bob, I hope you don't mind if I tag along on this thread.

I am looking for a Dana 80, 3. 54 gears. I don't care if it has disc or not, and I would prefer to find one within reasonable driving distance of Grand Rapids, MI. Of course San Felipe Bob is obviously first in line.

i have a 3. 54 dana 80 out of a 96 3500.

it needs a new pinion & ring... ... previous owner of truck ran low on fluid and the pinion and bearing now have some play in them..... worked fine when removed from truck 3 weeks ago but should be rebuilt. I have some spare parts to go with axle including the backing plates with shoes, hubs, some of the bearings needed to rebuild it. I am keeping the drums.

I am in the detroit MI area..... and not sure if I am willing to ship..... this sucker is heavy as hell!!!! looking to get $800ish

contact me at my email: -- email address removed --

I'm guessing you want a '01. 5-'02 rear end for the disc brakes?

Sounds like you want a complete unit, with brakes and all.

Sorry, can't help, just curious.

YES! M Cummings

If I'm gonna spend 2 grand on a used low milage rear end I need to get the disks complete with brake lines and cables.

I have located a 01 Dana 70 with drums 3. 54 posi.

About 750 bucks.

Probably will end up with it.

2 grand to rebuild mine including straighting the housing and a Detroit locker plus the 1 week down time and loss of work.

Makes the 750 buck deal seem irresistable.

There is a Dana 80 on Ebay listed today, it's buy it now for around $900 if I remember right. I don't remember what gearing or if it is out of a dually but it might be worth a look. I bent a tube when I was in a wreck earlier this spring, the other lady's insurance company spent two days looking for an 80 single rear wheel application. They finally found one for $1400 (or so it was reported to me). Good luck, andy

I found 2 Dana 80's

But ended up with a used dana 70 with posi. for 750. 00

800 366 2070

2250. 00 plus shipping from Washington no posi.

800 547 4851

2500. 00 plus shipping fron Oregon with posi. no brake calipers!

both are exchange.
