Hey guys I have tried everywhere locally to get some new axle shaft flange gaskets. Does anyone know the napa part number for the Dana 80. Maybe even a good outlet online?

Ok thanks guys, I have had these things off three or four times, (has 385,000 miles on it) been using RTV, just thought it was time to replace. Did find a place for parts: http://www.quad4x4.com/dodgeD801994-2002.html. I'll use RTV again this time but will replace with parts from quad4x4. They have all the parts including that little clip you press in to retain nut. Also a kit for replacing the one time use nut with a reusable two nut set up, no little clip to try and find. I might just try that for next time.

If there is any of the old gasket left - scrape it off.

Silicone RTV it the route to go. So long as you are using a thin bead and not gooping a bunch inside the axle tube where it can get caught up in the bearings, you'll be fine every time.

 I've had mine apart exactly once. One axle seal started to leak, so I replaced them both. While I was in there I replaced the rear brake shoes. That was around 800k. What are you doing that requires all those repairs?

How did you get 800k on a set of brakes?

Mine delaminated from the backing plate at 75k with around 3/8" left.
