Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Dana 80

How much would you expect to pay for a GOOD used Dana 80. This is out of a 3/4 ton I assume. (6-speed I think get the 80's) Im still working on locating parts for converting 1 ton to SRW. Assume, for me, that this rear end is stock with no exotic lockers or anything wild. Thanks for your input!!!

I paid $1400 for a 2001 with disk brakes that had 42k miles.

A little salty but it had the right gears and i was sick of breaking the 70's.

Though i could have got one with drum breaks and 4. 10's with about 50k miles for about $1100.

The 5-Speeds have the 80 also. My 01 does.

Paid $1100 for mine no exchange. All 5 speeds have them. Two others in CO were 1500 without exchange and 1700 without exchange. $200 less with exchange

Its the easy way to spot the CTDs on the hyway. Very few gassers get the (hybrid) 80. Scince '94 anyway.
