pull out gently far enough to insert a putty knife between the dash and bezel and pry gently while pulling on it (I was just out in the garage installing a new head unit 15 min ago, so im sure I didnt forget how yet) but dont ask tomorrow.
 
gently pull out and it will pop off. On mine I find it easier if the wheel is tilted all the way down and the gear selector (if auto) is down in 1st.
