2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Dash Fried,

my pcb dash has fried some capacitors, does anybody know of where i can get a replacment, better still complete one from salvage truck any help would be great, cheres NED fatboy rider.

if you fried some caps, theres gotta be a reason for that... unless you have the pepsi syndrome (spillage)

hi ya, i know what did it struck by lightning,it all works , apart from fuel guage, wtsl, 4x4 light etc, what is the jkd list, you . ll av to spell it for us boys across the pond, cheres ned

short for the Killer Dowel Pin. .

there is a kit that was made up to do a repair on the problem and several are around the USA for folks to use to do the repair. . . it's a one time use tool that would be expensive to buy and just sit in the tool box after use, so a TDR member made a few up for the good of all.

As willys said, the KDP jig is used for 99 and lower CTD's to fix the Killer Dowel Pin problem. Do a search on it here, its quite a big topic. I manage the jig for the NorthEast section of the US, dunno if its within my limits to ship it off to the UK. It weighs about 20 pounds, so a cross-atlantic journey would get quite expensive. . What year is your truck? Might not need it. Also, how did you get hit by lightning. . never heard of this happening, but I guess anything is possible. .
