Dash light wire

just put gauges in my 05. where can tap the light wire in? it looks like the computer runs all the lights? any one do this them self. thanks, Jim

Do a search here for "guage lighting" and it should lead you to the threads showing which wire behind the panel where the dimmer is for the dash lights. IIRC, the color of tracer on the wires changed between the early and later 3rd gens and I don't remember exactly what it was.

take off the panel by the headlight switch and it should be the orange wire with a white or brown tracer. if forget. just becareful in the cold, you may break the tabs off the panel. it's not too difficult to do other than fishin the wire up from underneath.
