Warm up

Why Does Everyone Dog Dodge!

Yesterday was a very overcast day here, I turned my headlights on (during mid-day) as I have done on other days like this in our other vehicles. But on my truck, when I turned the lights on, all my displays became very, very hard to read. In fact I couldn't read them at all. Anybody else have similar experience? And is there a way to "turn up" the display light levels during the day if you have need to turn the headlights on?

:) If the tail lights are out also check the fuse. Usually if the dash lights are out so are the tail lights. Also try turning on the light switch and then rotaing the knob to the left (counter clock wise) This is the control for brightening and dimming the dash lights. Let us know what you find. ;)

When you turn the headlights on, the dimmer will be activated. There's a control on the 3rd Gen ones (at least my 05 has it) to the right side of the headlight control. You should adjust the brightness of the display with this, up makes it brighter and down makes it dimmer...

The first notch will allow all the displays to be bright like they are without the headlights, anything less than that will make everything relatively dimmer depending on how much you adjust it down from there...

Feel like DUMB!

Have you ever written something and then found out what you could have learned with a little more effort?

I just came back in after driving up till darkness. I had the same conditions as yesterday and "turned" the vertical knob and found that I had more adjustment available. LIGHTS WORK FINE AND DISPLAY IS EASY TO READ IN TWILITE CONDITIONS.

Yesterday I thought I had used all the adjustment that was available.

Thank you for replys,

Dick
