Does anyone have a part number for the light bulbs for the instrument cluster? I would like white lights but the stock green will do. I have several burnt out ans green light is better than no light. :-laf :-laf

Bulb #194 is a clear bulb. There is a blue green plastic cover that the bulb loosly nests into inside the instrument panel. The covers are removable but sometimes they get a tad melted from the heat of the bulbs making them a little harder to remove.

You can just replace the 194's or remove the blue plastic covers (you have to remove the PC board from the back of the instruments to get them out) and replace the bulbs with LED replacements that fit the 194 sockets. You can use white or a variety of colors. LED's run cooler and last longer... and are a bit more expensive. I got mine from www.surlplusled.com for a couple of bucks each. Search EBAY for 194 LED or 194 bulbs.

Go with LED's or remove the blue covers. I was replacing mine every couple of years and it is a pain in the --- job . . . . . I removed the blue covers and the bulb temperature evidently dropped enough to add significant longevity to the latest installation. However, if I go into this again it will definitely be with LED's.

Thanks for the info guys. I looked on e-bay and found some but can you tell me the difference between inverted and regular led's???

inverted means the tip is a inverted cone. it moves the light to the sides instead of just a pencil point of light from the front. i have just the led for those clusters. let me know if your interested.

Go to NAPA and get a pack of the plain jane lights. You'll use them for other lights on the truck such as front/side marker lights.
