Okay looking for some advice, I have pulled a 24' enclosed trailer off and on this past month doing a personal house hold move and I started to get a Buzz from the dash(sounds like an engraver buzz) this starts at about 2000 RPM and happens at other RPMs also I've heard it at 2500RPMs and 2800RPMs. I didn't have this noise prior putting a good load on the truck. I have loaded the slide-in on over the past 20 months and had no noise. Does this sound like the 2000RPM vibration from the PS hose or am I grabbing at straws. I have about 500 miles before the 36K runs out so it will be going to the dealer. I just want to have a little ammo just in case

Thanks,

Steve

Don't know if this will help but I've had a similar noise that appears to be cruise control related. I believe some other members have commented on this as well. The vacuum pump mounted on the fenderwell, in the engine compartment on the passenger side between the battery and the firewall might be the culprit. I haven't done anything about mine yet. Do a forum search and see if that helps.

I have gotten this buzz; more pronounced with AC on. Only get it under accel, but a load isn't needed. Dealer has no clue from any TSB or trucks he has worked on. I haven't taken mine in because it would be just a random search, most likely. The power steering hose with damper is for vibration in the steering wheel, which I don't have.

My cruise control runs from the ecm (6 speed) and I notice the noise with cruise off--don't recall hearing it with cruise on.

Thanks Guys

I'll try the vacuum pump deal, I noticed it this morning under accelleration. I was looking for help since I never noticed it until I hooked up the trailer, but the noise is there with the cruise off I'll have to turn the cruise on and try to hear it tonoght on the way home
