a lot of us need dashes I know I do

before I jump in and buy a new dash

I want to do some research

there are some guys on ebay that sell over lays as well as geno's garage

but do they hold up fit right and look ok???

I would get one if I know it would work ok

I ordered mine from Geno's about a year ago and looks new still. Have to shake of the bugs and dust everynow and then. Covers my cracked up dash like a champ! I will never go without one again. I will try and get a picture posted tonight for you.

My truck has one installed. It was done by a shop so I do not know what brand cover it is. It does not have the screw holes though. The color matches well and I would say it fits alright. I know it is there, but no one else has ever noticed it.

Coverlay

I have the Coverlay dash cover that is glued on. I've had it for about a year. If you take the time to prep the existing dash so that the glue can stick well then it's great (about 15-20 minutes). I know it's there - but I installed it so of course I know it's there :)

I used one years ago on the '76 Chevy pickup I had at the time, it fit well and matched the color fine - gave the truck to my dad after buying my '91 Dodge/Cummins - he still has the truck, and the dash cover is probably the nicest looking part of the whole truck!

Never any more cracking issues with that one - and would buy another, if I ever needed one. I put on a carpeted type on my '02 as soon as I bought it - looks nice to me, and NO cracking issues with the OEM dash underneath - yet... :D

this is the over lay i'm talking about

not carpet type

Yes, that is what I was talking about also. There are several makes available. The one on my truck does not have the holes for the screws down by the windshield base area, some I have do have the holes for the screws. So they are held down by the screws and by glue. Mine is just held down by glue. As stated, it fits fairly well, no one has noticed it being a cover.

I want to find a new or used dash in nice shape

but if I can't

I will go with the plastic over lay that you glue to the old oneOo.
