Dash Pod at night - Do you get glare???

I am considering getting a dashpod for some more gauges that I need. (IE: Fuel pressure / and transmission Temp )

One thing that I've heard about the Dash Pods is that you can get glare from the gauges reflecting off the windshield. If there is a considerable amount of glare I'll end up mounting them somewhere else.

Any thoughts on this? Thanx

I never have had any glare. I like them. I have the US Gear, don't know about the others.

Yes they reflect... even during the day... ... is it bad enough to worry about? Thats a personal opinion i guess. I am happy with my dash pod.

I put piller and dash mounts in at the same time. Quite a light show but after two-three days I got used to it.



I mind the reflection from the dash in daylight more so. Good excuse to leave the dust buildup.

I too got used to the glare in week or so. Now I dont even notice it. The brain just seems to filter it out and I see the gauges.

Kevin, I have the dash pod with Autometer gauges and I do get a little reflection. It is not that noticeable or annoying. It is far less annoying than the light shining in your peripheral vision from the A-pillar mounted gauges. I've had both setups. Too bad I didn't drive all the way to Connecticut last fall so you could see 'em

I have the 2 gauge dash pod that sits on the left side of the dash. No glare problems, but I'm not real impressed with the looks of the pod.

Is that because it's a 2 gauge pod??? Or the company that made it???

Added on edit: Oh, You mean the pod that sits by the A pillar on the driver side. My plan is to use the dash pod from Autometer that sits in the center or build a custom console. The custom console is my preferred method of installing the gauges I need but there is a rather large PITA factor #@$%!

I have a dash pod with 3 Dakota Digital gauges. I don't get any glare at all!! The Dakota gauges have an LED type display that doesn't require backlighting like the other gauges. When you have your headlights on, they automatically dim.
