Guage pod wiring

Spaceace,

Lines and wires are routed from under the dash, up between the dash and A piller on the drivers side. Not 100% hidden but 99. 9%. Ran my wires through shrink tubing then pressed then down between the window and dash. . I will see if I can get you a picture. .

Here is my setup. the wires and stuff go down the side between the dash and edge of the cab. I squeezed it behind the rubber seal. can't see it unless you really look closely.

I put power and ground wires together to lessen the # of wires then the others plus the small hose for the boost.

Spaceace,

I too would like to know for sure how the wiring and lines to a Dash Pod are routed. I purchased gauges and have not mounted them since I haven't decided on the Pillar Mount, of which pictures are posted to this thread, or the Dash Pod, of which I've seen precious few pictures.

For now, I believe the lines/hoses/wires are simply routed to a hole you have to drill in the dash under the pod location, then connected to the gauges.

If you're waiting to make a decision on dash or A-pillar... ... Autometer already made up your mind.

Dash pods are about as easy to locate as honest politicians. :rolleyes:

Autometer stopped production on dash pods and won't say when it will resume. #@$%! :{ :-{}

My dash pod is all the way down by the windshield and on top of the dashmat on my 94. I brought all wiring up alongside the pillar where there is a large hole where the pillar and dash meet. Then the wire goes under the dashmat to the gauge pod and no wireing is exposed and no holes are drilled.

Hey guys,

I bought the dash pod that mounts by the instrument panel bezel, 'cause Autometer blo... ... ... ... well, 'cause I couldn't get the other one. I wasn't thinking at the time,but the other day I happened to be,and the pod I have now is 2 peice, so I think I (or you) could unscrew the base and just use the top half, it's flat on the bottom just like the center of the dash, now what I mean?

I will eventually do that, just no time now.

Later, Rob
