Does anybody have a source for paint that will match the factory dash color.

I have purchased the dash pod already. I've had it and the guages for over a month now and as of now, have not been able to find a source for this particular color.

A local "Carquest" auto parts store can mix some for me, but they want a piece of the dash to match. They won't use the paint codes, for whatever reason.

I'm tempted to see what some off the shelf color might do.

The dash appears to be a gray type color, but I have no idea what the "technical color" is. :)

Thanks for your assistance.

I checked genosgarage.com and they don't list for 2006.

They list a Natural Beige, and my dash is not a Beige color.

I did check with them earlier and they said it would take 60 days.

I was hoping it was already available. I can wait. I just don't want too. :)

I appreciate the quick reply though.

My local Dodge dealer doesn't carry the paint. And I can't seem to find it on their website either.

I'll try a different dealer and maybe they'll be more receptive to the idea of looking it up.

I just called my local Dodge dealer again (the one where I bought my truck).

This time I got a more knowledgeable parts guy. I just need to give them the last 8 digits of my VIN and they can order.

Hopefully that will end my search. :)

What dash pod did you Buy..... The one that sits between the defrosters on top?

If so did it say 03-06 or did it say 03-05?

I am wanting one for my 06 but can only find one 03-05?

THANKS

I ordered my from Diesel Manor. It fits between the defroster vents.

I did a test fit without the guages. Its fits good (molded curve).

I got paint for mine from a local auto paint store, they matched it to the interior color code from Dodge then put it into a spray can for me. The color Genos and most others sell is for the A pillar (the pillars and headliner are the same color with either interior color) but it doesn't match the grey or khaki dash. I have the Kahki dash so I don't have the code for the grey one.

I bought my dash pod from Geno's. I was a perfect fit on my '06 dash, even to the point that a small protrusion at the leading edge fit into the groove of the dash plate. I ordered a spray can of interior paint in "Taupe", a sort of khaki color, from the local Chrysler dealer. Like them better than local Dodge. Paint was a better match to the door panel than the dash but blended well none-the-less. I erred in top-coating with a high gloss acrylic clear instead of matte or semi-gloss. It reflects a little sun into the windshield but not too bad. I love the gauges on the dash!

I went to Dodge, they took my vin, and the only color they could match was the dash gray. They cannot match the lighter medium gray or the off-white-gray pillars. I went to an auto paint store and they mixed it for me. Top clear coat in matte matches Dodge finish of other trim.

I received my Mopar Factory Dash Panel Paint yesterday.

Part number on the receipt is 5134799AA

I started painting the dash pod last night. So far 4 coats on it.

I'll set it on the dash tonight and compare the contrast (hopefully none), before I top coat with a clear polyurethane.

Then I'll have to find/make time to do the actual guage install. :)
