Dash Pod...Where to find one?

I just got off the phone with Rod at www.wildcatdiesel.com this morning, ordering a set of Isspro EV gauges. (EGT, Boost, Trans Temp, and mech. Fuel Pressure).

(He's actually sending me his last FP gauge that was to be intalled in HIS truck this weekend)

Now for the dilemma... ... everyone seems to be out of stock of the Autometer style dash pods.



I don't like the A-Pillar style (personal preferences)

so I've got gauges on the way and nothin' to put them in ... . Yet.



Anyone know who might have a pod in stock?

Rod from Wildcat Diesel called me back last night about 10:00pm (I wonder if this guy ever sleeps ) After he spent the afternoon on the phone, a dash pod is on the way with my other stuff. Oo.

Thats what I thought also. Didnt like the idea of the A-pillar mounted gauges.



Originally went w/ the triple dash pod (autometer). As soon as I drove w/ it the first time, I loved the gauges, but didnt like how it affected my view of the top of the hood. Lost perspective of where the left front wheel was and thats no good driving off road, where you need to navigate the tires between rocks, etc.



Ended up changing to the a-pillar. What an improvement!



No field of view loss, and once you get used to them up there its night & day better. Also looks classy too (especially at night). Theres always someone on the freeway that drives next to me looking at the gauges. Gets alot of comments from people that think thats the way to go.



IMO and alot of others on here, think the a-piller is better.



After a while you dont look at the gauges anyways, because you know what the motor is doing from experience, so out of the way, but accessable at a glance is good.



This saves the dash for later if you decide to go w/ more gauges.

I like the looks of the A-Pillar mount, it just positions the gauges in a "Fuzzy Zone" for my old eyes. Anything less than 3' away and I have to find my glasses.

I keep telling Wifey, as I'm trying to read, that my eyes ain't bad..... my arms are just too short.

Maybe the dash pod that sits to the right of the driver more in the middle of the dash would work better then.



It sits back towards the window, so its not too close to your eyes. thats what I was thinking of getting for the next wave of gauges. I liked it because its out of the way.



Its the one that was used in the recent TDR mag article that showed the differences between gauge brands.



Anyways sounds like youre pretty set on the autometer. The gauges are really easy to see w/ that one, so will probably work out perfect for ya.
