Daughter at State XC Championship

My daughter has a reputation as a Sprinter after standing at the Ohio top eight podium three times in two years.

Out of respect for her coach who also coaches cross country, she decided to help the XC team because they needed enough runners to field a team. She started out as the third place runner on our team . and worked up to conference champ.

She ran at regionals against the toughest region in the state and stayed with the pack of the top two schools. she placed tenth out of 125 runners who already were cream of the crop from district meets.

We still cannot believe that a first year runner got this far, so we'll just see what happens at State

She pulls the hills just like a Cummins Oo. Oo.

Glad to hear it daveshoe. all we ever get is crap over the deliquents, front page stuff, but let one of them be a good citizen, accomplish good things, and bring honor to themselves and what do they get? back page stuff if mentioned at all.



I was a swimmer in high school very many years ago, and to this day I am grateful for the support of my folks who in three years missed only one meet. I wasn't a Mark Spitz or anything but hey, they didn't care.



give 'em love, encouragement and discipline and they can turn out real good !!

That's good to hear. I ran cross country in HS so I know how difficult it is. I never did very well, but I always finished.
