I ordered my 2012 3500 from Dave Smith Motors a few weeks ago, I went by the great rating Member MannyC gave Ed West His Salesman. Just to let everyone know Manny was dead on, my order process went smooth as glass, great communication from Ed, I took a flight Monday to Spokane, there driver was waiting for me, when we arrived at the Dealership Ed West was there, we went for a complete test drive, and check out, He missed nothing, a few things to sign, and I was on my way home to California with a great view along the way. The Dealership is a first class operation, Ed is exceptional, the truck is fantastic, the price was right, I am what you call a Happy Camper, Manny thank you, and the drawing your Kid did for Ed is displayed on His desk, Ron

Congratulations on a great purchasing experience. I like hearing a good story with a happy ending. I've heard nothing but good things about Dave Smith Motors.

I almost bought my 05 from Dave Smith, but my local dealer, Melloy Dodge, matched their price and through in free oil changes for 7 years, which will expire next month.

Strange - I guess I must have an albatross around my neck... .

I contacted Dave Smith when I was trying to find my current truck to see if they had one, could locate and procure one, or could order it. I never got a response from them after I faxed them the specifications. I wound up ordering it through a local dealer.

Suffice it to say that I was NOT impressed.

My experience in 2006 was nothing short of amazing. My local dealers wouldn't budge and were even reluctant to sit down and special order anything. Jack Powell's salesgal recommended DSM to me!

The price was a bargain and service exemplary. My salesguy has retired but I believe Ed West is the guy to go through.

I wish DSM would open a store down here in San Diego. :)

I wish they had prices listed on their site. Would help narrow down the choices. The back and forth email games sucks and is time consuming. This truck has this, that truck has that and so on. What a mind game searching that way!!

I got a firm e-mail price. I referred a guy to them concerning a used one. Once again,a firm e-mail price. This was years ago, however.

They have a web site that has all the inventory listed, and you can read the MSRP, if it's what you want, they have an 800 number, just call and say how much is it, how complicated is that?

For one i am not planning on paying MSRP, and after some serious research I already know the average MSRP range, thus making an MSRP listing somewhat useless to me. I am not here to dog DSM, I heard good things about them. Just voicing my opinion on asking prices not being listed. If No Haggle prices as advertised why not list them??

I am about to drop cash on a new CTD, SLT or higher. With the time of year being between the 2011 and 2012 transition, there are some darn good deals out there. Now to get the maximum bang for my buck (more money for mods), I need to compare. These trucks have so many different options between each truck. Not one identical. Then ther is the HO mix in the 2011's. With that said, prices listed would help me compare to those listed locally and weigh in the choice of buying out of town. I am open to 2012 purchase also, just comes to bang for buck and prices listed would help greatly. Budget isnt an issue but why pay thousands more if not need be.

I am the guy with 20 browser windows open looking at trucks prices, DSM is not in there because they dont list prices when I am comparing. I guess I could call and get prices but writing prices down for 20 trucks then applying to each windows sticker and comparing gets damn confusing. With DSM website its even hard to compare the deals between the styles. You got year and color only listed on the main index page of the 2500 RAMS. Then you have to dig deep to see the windows sticker, then email on each truck for price :{

I just bought a KIA for my wife, that car had 2 option packages and the bargain search was simple!! None of the... ... fog lamps in this car, tow package in that car, u-connect in this one, cold weather group on that one and so on.

This search is driving me insane, maybe I will just go down to DSM personally and let them talk me into a good deal LOL

Sorry so long, you had it coming with " how complicated is that?':p

Naturecannon, try Steve White Motors in Hickory, NC. You can get their bottom price on eBay. I don't know where you're located but when I buy I'm going to Hickory.

+1

I'm not slamming them in any way, shape or form and would recommend them from what I read here. However, when I called them re my 2010, there was no benefit to buy from them. I got the same deal from my local dealer.

Costco is your friend!

I purchased from them in 2005 and it was a very good purchasing experience. No problems, great communications and even with airfare and driving through Canada, I came out ahead. I'd go back again... .

Ive purchased my last two CTD from DSM. Been very happy with them. Now that I am ready to order again I am also going to get a price thru COSTCO's auto buying service. We got a Lexus thru it at invoice price so i going try with a CTD.

My local dealer and the 3 dealerships that he owns here in NH were horrible. I wound up buying my truck from Steve White Motors in Hickory, NC. They treated us like a king and queen. I will diffenently buy my next one from them.

DSM is awesome to work with! Purchased my 07 from them and they went out of there way to get every option I wanted. I could not order at the time as production had already started for the 07. 5. They beat out everyone else I contacted
