I've been using my fog lights for daytime running lights. I just turn them on and leave them on. When I park they turn themselves off after 5 minutes or thereabouts.

Anyone else doing this? Is there a reason I shouldn't be?

Why not just have the factory DRL enabled??? Ibeleive the dealer can do it with the DRBIII by telling the computer it is in Canada!

The truck is going to the dealer this friday to have the EGT gauge installed and do the 7500 mile stuff. I'll ask him about the DRLs then.

The only way I can use my fog lights is with the "parking" or head lights on. This illuminates the tail lights. I think using the parking lights and fog lights as Daytime Running Lights is dangerous because you don't have the maximum possible change in tail light intensity when you are braking.

I just wish my dealer wasn't stone walling me about turning them on. My dealer's service department is a bunch of Bozos.

Had my truck in for recall work today they told me they had no idea how to enable them. I tried to explain to them to change the country setting whe looked at me with a very lost stare? By changing this does it effect the truck in any other way? Can anyone explain the steps so I can pass them along to the tech at DC. . Thanks any help would do..... Dave

From what I heard they simply need to change the country code to Canada, turn on the DRL and change the country code back to USA. I'll find out soon enough as I want my dealer to do the same.
