Ok, I just did a search, but could not find where people are buying the Daystars thru. Can anyone help on a good location to purchase online?

Lawdog,

Sorry i can't help w/ the daystars. I have great luck w/rancho's spacers and they come in 2 or 3 inch (the 3 inch are listed for the 1500). but according to my contact at Rancho corporate the work fine. that is why i bought them myself.

Also wanted to say you are my kind of guy. Planning bombs even before you have the truck.

Hope you get the new truck soon. Hold out for exactly what you want. Nothing less!!!!!!!!

I just installed mine (with some help, thanks Pablo). I believe Pablo picked them up for me at Offroad Wherehouse. They were around $70 for the pair- 1. 5".

If not, I know for sure that Central 4WD carries them and the prices are very much the same. They will ship anywhere.

What are the spacers made out of? Are there screws that hold them from the top, or do the just sit there?

Thanks.

Not sure about all the models, but mine just sit in there and are held in place by the coil and a detent area of the control arm, which the spacers are made to fit in perfectly.

They are made from polyurethane. I believe that the larger spacers utilize mounting bolts that attach through the control arm.

My 2000 had daystars that a friend got for me on a trade. They are Polyurethane and like stated before, they go in the top of the spring and are held in by 3 studs. they replace the stud ring that holds on the shock top mount... .
