I just went with a friend to pick up his new CTD (another one to the family).

I noticed that his truck had daytime head lights. Since his truck was a 99 and mine is also a 99, I was wondering how hard it would be to convert mine to daytime head lights.

Thanks

Ben

99 Ext. cab, 4WD, Banks Powerpack, Pusher pump, BD exhaust brake, and some other stuff.

Sounds like a Canadian truck. Daytime lights are required. I wonder if Dodge has the wire diagram for the export model for Canada?

The Factory Service Manual shows the daytime lights circuitry.

Drl?

When I first got my truck new in '94, it had the DRL's, but not activated. I know this because the module went bad right after the warranty was up leaving the headlights on untill the fuse was removed. :{ The fix was to remove the DRL box (on driver's side inner fender) and bypass it. Dealer was nice and did it as a warranty repair. :D

So I think most all the GenII trucks have this feature, just not activated.

You can see pics of the module & connector at http://www3.sympatico.ca/yyzski/DRL/

It sits on the inner fender below the brake booster area.

Part number for the module is #56021561-lamp module and should be about $75.

Pics are of my '02 - my '96 used exactly the same module & connector. It's just plug & play.
