The price of $370 each was before they made the mirror kit available. I paid a little more then half that for the kit. How often do most you guys adjust your mirrors anyway? I can't remember the last time I had to adjust the mirrors on my truck, but I'm the only one that drives it. I guess if you have more then one driver the power mirrors are convenient if you dont have a passenger. I've tried to get used to the slip on towing mirrors and just get dizzy when I look behind me with them. Can't wait to get my hands on my flip outs, the dealer told me to just call once a week and figures it won't be more then a month cause they just released some more.

Has anyone heard when DC will release the next batch of tow mirror kits? I went to the dealer and ordered them but all he could tell me was that it is a good part # and that they were on back order.

Im changing my post from 6-6-00. Now owning the 2001,Im impressed with the visibility with these mirrors. Yes the drawback is no heat and manual adjustment.

can someone who has installed this new kit post some pictures???

I recieved the mirror kit yesterday after being on back order for 3 weeks. I was happy to see that the mirrors include the convex bubble in the upper outside corner which becomes the lower outside corner when flipped. Have not installed them yet but the job looks fairly simple from the instructios.

Just called up the dealer and they said that my mirrors also came in. I ordered 2 weeks ago. Gotta run to pick them up. I'll probably install them in the morning since fellow members recommend making a backing plate for better support.

My kit came in today. I was impressed at how clear and complete the kit was. It took about an hour to install. My D. C. dealer was impressed with the kit also since they had been selling mirrors individually and having to fabricate the brackets for each mirror.
Thanks for the part #.
Mike

The kit works great. Yup no need to make your own brackets so I got them on as soon as I got home. I left my power mirror adjustment on instead of putting that cap on that would have to be painted to match my tan interior, plus I use it to hang things(keys, garage door opener, etc)on that I grab when I'm getting in and out of my truck.

TradedV10foraCummins,
Do the DC flip up mirrors "breakaway" in both directions?
