DC Historical Info on B-3C pick-up

I am in the process of restoring a 1952 B-3C 3/4 ton pick-up. I found through a link on the Chrysler Museum website that they can provide information, photos, manuals, etc. for most Chrysler Vehicles. Here is a link to the website http://www.daimlerchrysler.com/museum/index.html



I just got the info in the mail and found out that the motor in the truck is the original based on the Vin number given to DC. I now plan on ordering the owners manual and photos for the truck. They even included some photocopies of the available photos and a brochure in the package. Oo. Oo.



If anyone is restoring or has interest in older Dodge vehicles this seems to be a good resource for information. I have found that there is not a lot of info or parts available for older Dodges. There are countless sources for the Fords and Chevys though. It jut makes the restoration more rewarding.

When I was re doing my 1950 Dodge pickup, I found a good supply of items from "Roberts Motors". they specialized in old Mopar stuff.

I owned a '50 Dodge Dump truck about 20 years ago. I was delivering to rural areas in my county for UPS and would see every old farmers junk. Anyhow, I bought this thing from this old boy for $500. It ran well but overheated until I finally got the rat nest(kapoc seat cushion material) flushed out of the top tank of the radiator. It had the larger Chrysler/Continental Flathead 6 and a crash 5 speed. Hauled alot of material with the thing and sold it a few years later for $1500. The only thing scarry about the thing was the BRAKES or lack of. About soiled my pants a few times. Chris

I suppose I don't need to remind you about Hemmings Motor News (http://www.hemmings.com/). I actually prefer the monthly "book" which has good sources for old parts.

Roberts Motor Parts is a great resource. I have ordered several things from them.



I have not had too much luck with Hemings. I look every so often but don't seem to find much.
