I remember my dealer quoting (and I quote) 'about a day'. But they also said they never did one and will have a Cummins guy come in to install it. I waited 2 weeks after picking up my truck with no definite answer to cost and when they could get it done so just took the box home and installed it myself. Took about 4 to 5 hours if I remember correctly. Like the other guy though... . I'm really slow & took my time. Hardest part was the damn serp belt. There is a trick ------ SMALL HANDS which I dont' have! :{

Cerritos Dodge in CA charged me 8 hours labor to install my Jake. Seemed a bit long to me and I believe it was the first one that they had done. One minor wiring problem after one week, no problems since.

I had one intalled with my new truck. The dealer had quoted $150 to install it. After reading the instructions online, I decided to let them do it. It ended up taking them nearly 8 hours, but they still held to the $150 deal. Granted, it was the firts '06 they had done, but the mechanic was also very particular in soldering, zip-tieing, etc. , and did an excellent job.
