DC must finally be admitting they screwed up with the lift pump location design on their 24v trucks. Seems they're now replacing the lift pumps with a retro-fit kit that places the pump in the tank and doing this under warranty issues for trucks still under the 5/100,000 engine warranty. What about the couple thousand owners out there like myself that all they did for us was give us another pump that eventually burns itself out as well as causing premature failure of the vp-44(band-aid fix for severed artery) or worse case the owners who had these failures and weren't under warranty. I'm mad as hell!

I still think the relocate of the pump near the tank like I have is a better deal and it's easier to get at. I don't like in-tank pumps where the easiest way to change them is to remove the truck box. Go to this link https://www.turbodieselregister.com/forums/showthread.php?p=1282348#post1282348
