Well I bought my new truck about a month ago and I just received the big and important to the dealer "new customer survey". I know it is important because the sales guy said it was and the dealer has had 3 people call me asking me if I am happy with everything. I have also received a letter from the salesman asking me to contact him if I can't say everything is great on this survey. Here is my question?? Why don't I just hang on to this survey for 6 months and see how the Dealer treats me for the next 6 months. Why fill it out now when I have only had them do one discounted oil change?? What have some of you done with this survey?

Survey

I held mine for the 36/36000 miles (warranty period) then returned it. I doubt it will even be looked at

It's kind of hard to give your opinions when your hand a sign for a 30k+ pickup and they hand you the keys - What is there to survey? the hand stake was kind of limp and the documents person had bad breath. Seems they should wait 6-12 months before asking.

if they are not returned within a certain time limit they are discarded (2 months for nissans) . i would think it would be about the same for dodge. after that time it is used for info only will not count against the dealer. don't wait to long. ken

I think that Kluther is right. They are only good for a certain time period. My dealer asked me not to fill it out if I could not give them an EXCELLANT rating. The dealer messed up for three and a half months while my truck was on order. I am a very easy going person but I let the management know that they had no idea on how to follow through after the initial sale.

If your dealer deserved a good rating than reward them by filling the survey positively--if they did not deserve a favorable survey than don't wait; it will do no good at a later date. Thomas
