I heard on the news tonight and also saw in today's newspaper that DC is letting 26,000 workers go. Sounds like the company is in a serious downturn, lost 1/2 billion last quarter, and they are projecting as high as 1. 5 billion loss this quarter. At this rate it doesn't take too much imagination to visualize my new truck being my last DC product, because I don't think DC will last long doing this. I can't understand how things went this bad this fast. It has been discussed before, but I think Chrysler is going to be the sacrificial lamb for the Germans, taking all of the blame while the German's spend and burn money.

On another note, the next gen Ram is to be introduced on the 7th. No mention of light and heavy duty lines, the blurb I saw just indicated that only about 6 months left on the current generation of trucks. Also the crew cab was mentioned as a definite, with a crew cab to be in the model line up at introduction.

CNN fn said 5 plants were across seas and 1 was USA,they also said mercadez benz was probable the only chance of saving the entire company?I wish them luck

Heard this same bit of news myself. I think my Cummins powered Ram may be a collector item in a few years. Sure am glad it has a long expected lifespan. There seems to be two schools of thought on this subject. One is that the Germans are part of the problem, the other is that they are the only hope for a solution. I myself fall into the first camp.
