Clutch safety switch quit working on my trk. Went to dlr. today to get new one, they say it will be $125. 00!!!

On the 03 they do not list a safety switch by itself, you have to buy the hyd. cyl. kit with switch, and they don't have one, be Fri. or Mon. till they can get it. I go out to tech. to see if he can bypass it, till one gets here, tell him about it, and he walks over to his tool box and gets one for a 99 and puts it on, and it works fine, same switch. Man, thats a real rip off!!!

I asked what I owed him, he says a beer. I bought him a case and came home.

Russell, got the new comp. , and talked to them today, they want 4x4's only, sorry. Blew out a tire on the center axel of that big heavy s. o. b. too, that was fun in 106* temps. and no wind, that was over by Mt. Vernon, Il. , other than that was a fun trip! Had my air impact with me, and no air!! Old murphy was with me on this trip!

yogi,

not to get off the subject but 70,000 on an 03 i bet you have the record as of now. that is about 69000 more than 90% of the 6L furds out there. :p

so yogi tell us in your 70000 miles how many fords have you seen broke down on the side of the rode how about 2nd gen 24v with the lift pump. off course it would be guess that the 24v CTD would be a lift pump. but 3 out of 5 freinds with 24v have been stranded by these little pumps. what have you seen out there? anything?

Catcracker, I really don't pay that much attention. I'm too busy watching the ones on the move! If they don't appear to need any help, I just keep on rolling, and thank the man up above that its not me. I'm only sure of 2 CTD's, both my 00, when the VP44 went out. :{ A lift pump will usually let you limp in, but both times the VP went out it was like you shut the ign. sw. off.
