So I take my truck to the dealer for warranty work, when my exhaust brake is engaged it makes a whistling sound (especially when cold).
The dealer had it for 5 days and when I called in the morning they said guarantee it would be done by noon, so I arrive at the dealer and it’s not ready, they replaced the turbo, exhaust break to no avail.
So I’m watching 5 mechanics looking at the truck and I walk over to them and they explain what’s going on and start the truck for me, and I say it sounds like the hole where the exhaust escapes from the EB is clogged (I’m not a mechanic), and one of the mechanics looks at me and say’s he knows what wrong.
No wonder Daimler Chrysler is losing money hand over fist.
CARE TO GUESS what the problem was?
