I have had a DDUFM for over a year now that I bought used from another TDR member. Has anyone ever had to send a second hand box in for checks or repairs? I would like to have the box given a "once over" and maybe even updated with a newer version SW. I called with DD a few months back about it and the rep I spoke with pretty much led me to believe I was SOL on any work on it and would just have to purchase another. He told me he'd have to check with Edge, but that was his take on it.

That just didn't sound like the same cust. service I've heard others brag about.

Keith always said the if you bought a ddttpm or ddufm the warranty was for life.

DD used to offer a bulltproof warranty. You can call me this weekend if you need too ;)

Our version of the Comp was sold with a lifetime warranty to the original purchaser. 2nd hand boxes are subject to the same as an "out of warranty" Edge box. If there's a problem, or you want an update, Edge can handle it for you.

If there's a problem with the box, Edge does charge to fix, but it's not like buying a new box.

That's the info I was looking for. I'd like to call Edge then and ask for a checkup so to speak and request the newest version software. (All for a fee, I understand)

I have had the box for over a year myself and don't really know how long the previous owner had it or if he in fact was the original purchaser. I have had the overboost code on numerous occasions and am concerned about the boost-fooler.

Does this sound feasable?

Our Mid-Tenn Pres Wade Patton just got his back from Keith after having problems with it. Said something must have been slightly off key for a long time because it runs better than ever now!

Give him a PM to get the details member name: WadePatton ;)

That's why I wanna send mine off right now. I won't miss it for a bit. After the VP44 install, I think I'll wait awhile before punching the wire again. I'm trying to get a few code problems ironed out first.
