I was in Vegas in Feb and talked with Lawrence for some time they never told me the bit of installing them themselves they shipped them to me and I put them in although Lawrence knows where my truck is headed, I know on the truck he had the only mod he had as far as fuel system upgrade was a holly lift pump I want to do his pump mod on my VP44 I need to take the truck to him for that though

------------------
2001. 5 ETH/DEE 4x4, DRW QC, DD supermental injectors, EZ, HX40 machined out for more flow, Custom 4" exhaust turbo back staight pipe with 5" chrome tip in front of rear tires, spa's, mcleod clutch, fuel lines, mag hytech rear end cover, psycotty air system, relocated blow by bottle,Lucerix power heated mirrors, more to come

Wiz, you gonna put those twins on a dyno soon? I'd like to see what your making now. I also spoke with DD on the VP44 mod. their doing, unfortunately for me,again, it's at their shop only. Let me know if you come up with anyother fueling ideas for the ETH, I think my next step will be either to try the "showerheads" that Sportbike is making or a JVD box, although I'd like to hear from someone who has tried the JVD with the EZ on a ETH as I'm somwhat skeptical that the results will differ from any of the other heavy fuelers. I am real happy with the Mallory 4150, I bumped it up just a little so that I now idle at a rock solid 12psi's and WOT is showing no lower than 7 psi's, cruising at 55 on flat ground I see 11 psi's,all my lines, banjo bolts, etc. are still stock. Keep me in the loop.
Thanks

Saint,

Why don't you just have a ETC VP44 installed? That, along with a thicker head gasket looks to put the ETH right where the ETCs are in the performance race.

Bart, that seems to be the only solution, other than Marco's ecms, if they are ever released. Do you know anyone that has swapped out a ETH VP44 for a ETC VP44 ? Seems that if it was a simple direct swap, somebody would have done it already. I have no idea would the logistics would be. Might be worth the time to R+D though. Thanks.

Scott W, since you asked me, one reason DD does not offer the SM injetors over the counter is that they are not a simple transparent change. Because they add so much power, you need other changes such as the HX40 for the health of the engine. Lawrence wants to be sure you have the infrastructure in place, you understand the driveability issues that always come up with such hp levels, etc. He also wants to be sure they are installed correctly. With a new product that is somewhat different from other straightforward injector changes, he wants an experienced installer to do the work. He wants to be sure there are no internal leaks from the connector tubes, etc. that might occur and falsely cause owners to think there is an injector problem.

Also I don't think there was any intentional bashing of a competitor, more an attempt to provide information about the extra steps and QC DD uses. It is sometimes hard for owners of Rams to see the differences without some discussion. You are from NJ and may have heard of upper-end restaurants in Philly like Le Bec Fin and La Terrasse. They sell food and it fills you up, just like McDonalds and Arbys food does. The differences include special preparation methods, quality control, etc. How much do you want to pay for your meal?

Contact me off-line if you want details on the SM injectors or alternatives to getting them into your truck.

Thanks for your reply, Joe. I asked you because I know that you are close to DD. I'm still riding the fence on what my next addition will be. The truck is doing real well right now with what I have, and I should have some dyno results after the Freehold meet. My goal is to reach 450 HP, which I know I'm not at now. I would like to reach this goal with just diesel, no drugs. I think I'm going to wait for the dyno results and then go from there. Also, thanks for the offer on the contact, I might take you up on that. I have also been in contact with Sportbike and he has some interesting injector work going on as well.
