Hi all ,

I just finished installing the injectors and turbo and went for a ride with the comp on level 1 and level 3 and I don't feel a big difference at all. The dd2's looked like stock injectors how do I know they are dd2's and should there be a big difference in power?

marc

DD2's are rated for 90HP and the comp is rated for close to 120 HP

Did you pierce the pump wire or are you running in the ez mode?

Did you buy the used DD2's from a known reliable source?

Most members are very straight up and good to deal with.

You yourself can not tell if they are DDII'S. What injectors did you have before? If stock you should feel a big difference. Sorry to hear that.

I got them from a fellow tdr member and am NOT implying that I was stiffed at all. Just thought it would feel alot faster even W/box on level 3 (wire is tapped). I did notice that when I jump on it the rpm's jump to around 2600 and the truck accelerates but rpm's don't move I also get a bit of shudder . I fear it could be tc or trans slipage which is why I don't feel the extra power in sop.

you should feel a BIG difference!!!! you are adding a total of about 200hp!

the shudder you feel is your TC a comp box alone will slip a stock TC

what is your F/P ? are you seeing lots of smoke taking off from a stop ?

FP never falls below 11psi yes more smoke than before. I think it's slipping. with the box on 1 it feels like it was before on 3 or 4

Marc

I have an Edge Comp and couldn't pull fuel pressure below 8-9 psi then I put in the DD II's and now it'll go down near zero and the amount of smoke compared to just the box is amazing if you stand on it on 5x5.

I replaced the lp a few months ago , I got it from cummins and before I did injectors I could not pull fp below 13. i will try it today on 4 and 5 and see what happens w/fp and smoke.

Marc

what level are you basing this on I run 3x5 every day and even getting on it never falls below 11. I will try 5x5 today. I did notice the lp from cummins holds fp better than the one from dodge. I had dealer replace lp under waranty and it was shot within 2 months I put the new one on myself from cummins 3 months ago and fp is the same 13-14 cruising and 11 wot.
