Well, I finally did it! I installed my DD2's, boost module, and elbow today. Despite the bruised knuckles, I'm loving life!

EGT will hit 1200 degrees in NO time on the uphill stretches on the highway, at 30 PSI with my foot firmly planted on the long skinny pedal. I guess my next upgrades are going to be DTT VB/TC and a 4" exhaust, pronto!

Accelleration from 70-90 MPH is remarkably faster than "stock", and "lugging" up the local hills at 1600 RPM just begs me to plant the right foot down again and tear right up 'em!

Installation notes: Ugh! Nobody said getting the valve cover off was such a pain in the rear. "Pull down on the heater hose" or so the instructions say. Bah! It would be easier to REMOVE the heater hose and deal with the coolant leak after the install's over.

Getting to that #6 cylinder all the way in the back is a royal pain too. The big engine wiring harness right above it didn't help either, and I ended up NOT putting the engine hoist bracket back on since it took me 20 minutes to get it OFF in the first place. *heh* If my truck needs to have the engine pulled, I'll worry about the hoist bracket then. #ad

I had a crowsfoot and a stubby 19mm combo wrench to help out.

What's a crowfoot flair socket? Is that the socket with a 90 degree wedge cut out of it? I've heard people talking about making one out of a 19mm deep socket, but don't see how you could "get it on there" with the injector line(s) being so long.

I thought #5 was a piece of cake compared to #6. I ended up removing the 2 screws holding the wiring harness bracket, and moved that completely to the side - gave me a lot more working space for #5 and #6.

i have a crowsfoot flare socket , 3/4 in and a snap on 3/8 drive locking swivel head rachet that has about a 10 inch handel , makes the last 2 easier .

i never pulled off the wiring retainer and agree that the valvecover is a PITA to get in and out , but i never had to pull or bend down the heater hose .

after having done injector swaps 6 times on my truck i'm down to 1 hr 15mins now , learned a few tricks that makes things easier , including not using the miller tools injector puller . intake horn bolt and my small pry bar are much quicker .

hamm , you think the DD's are great now , wait till you get that TC in , my EGT at the dragstrip actually went down some with the TC .

Crowfoot flare wrench has the same end as
a flare or line wrench. 6 pointed.
