I have a '01 3500 5sp that I use mostly for towing. I'm running at/slightly over GCVWR. I currently have a Edge EZ and gauges... . everything else is stock.
I've spent the last few hours searching threads for this answer but I haven't found anyong that has exactly the same situation as me so I figured I'd ask. Am I going to have any problems with EGT? I live in Phoenix so I tow up several mile long 6% grades going in/out of the valley as the temperature exceeds 115 degrees. I've found that my truck runs about 300 degrees cooler with the Edge EZ than stock... but I'm sure that will change drastically with the new injectors.
How about clutch? I'm planning on replacing the stock clutch (has 38,000mi right now)... . is this something that will *have* to be done *first*? ... or can I limp along if I'm careful for a little while with this setup?
Also, the age old question, "About how much power will I be making with this configuration?" (I know this is difficult to answer.
Oh yeah, the last question... how about exhaust/air filter? Does this really make that much difference with EGT's?... or is it a small difference, like 50-75 degrees?

Oh yeah, in preperation of getting the new injectors I replaced my lift pump a couple of weekends ago... my pressure was getting down to 0 under even slight acceleration... .
