High Voltage

TDR MEMBER
Just finished installing DD2's, boy what a difference, truck seems to run alot smother, but the idle seems a little different but not rough, have my ddttpm set to timing only as to not burn the trans that get's done on wednesday:D .

The Question is?

When cleaning up and after the test run that went good, i was putting my torque wrench away and noticed that the setting was a little high, HOW much is to much for the injector hold down caps, 89 inlbs is the right torque.

Thanks Hutch

high voltage, I would'nt worry about it , as long as you get them all the same, the only thing is if you go to tight you can actually stretch the bolt , but you will be ok:p

Me too ...

I got my DDIIs in this weekend as well. I don't know about you, but I have a few sore spots from crawling around under that hood for 2 1/2 hours! I think it would be fun to start a poll and see how many people leave that rear engine hoist off!

Just got back from a trip to the hills (10,000 feet) and the truck sure runs good, although the smoke was a little more than I expected. I guess it's a good thing I read enough posts to not go for the DDIIIs. I probably would have if it hadn't been for several warnings about smoke at high altitudes and towing egts.

I'm running behind a PE Comp box as well, and since the DTT upgrade is still a couple of weeks out, I'm having to be Real Careful.

What I noticed was another increase in low-end response. Also, the mpgs that the PE box had boosted to 21, are now almost to 23mpgs, and that's with a lot of hill climbing. Average EGTs are definitely higher across the board, with all types of driving.

Can't wait for the transmission upgrade so I can let the horses run! :D

Whitmore---Thanks i think i will be OK, i think i only went to 95 inlbs, if i get time on sunday i will open it up and redo:( .

Jwdeeming---I here you on the sore spots, as for the rear hoist, makes a great paper weight on the work bench.

As for the DTT upgrade, it goes in wednesday. :D
