Looking for some feedback on DD2's as I'm considering on getting a set of them. Piers said with my combo I could get 60HP or so out of them so with that what would I expect EGT's to raise(wondering what turbo I would need) I had thought about 370's or DD3's but I should need delivery valves... . RIGHT! Any feedback would help with the ideas as not many seem to run DD2's.

Those of us with the stock 160 hp pumps have 131 delivery valves. If we add much bigger injectors, we need the larger 191 DV's.

I don't think you'd need the larger delivery valves. Your pump should handle them just fine.

180HP pump's

I've read that the 180HP pumps have 161 DV, some say they are fine for 370's and DD3's. So you should have no trouble with DD2's.

I have DDIIs,

went with them because peirs and bill at DTT said it was a good combo for tow/spinning tires. and the smoke is better than 275s or DDIs. less that is.

Untill I go to 5 5:D that is some serious smoke:--)

fuel AND air!

i recomend making a choice of injectors for the long run/ how much air you can deliver too!! if your sure you will keep the stock turbo/turbine then less fuel will be a good choice DD2's

or with a bigger turbo MORE AIR you can have the 370's without a smoke problem. dont get me wrong, i think the 370's will work even with the smaller turbo and turbine housing ,but EGT's and smoke may cloud up you potential horsepower. you can also control your fuel amount in other ways,so why not just take that BIG bite and go with the 370's?;)

Pthomas

I will without a doubt get at least a PDR 35 if not a 40. I just wanted some feedback on what others thought, I had thought about 370 but I like the idea of the DD's with there honed tips and better idleing characteristics. Yes I know there more exspensive but there are allot of them out there especially in th 24V department I just think of DD3's and think allot of heat.
