I have a 98. 5, someone was telling me I should remove something that controls the amount of rear to front brakes. I have 80,000 miles and have gone through four or five sets of front brakes. The other thing this person said was if I install DDII injectors the chip will need to be reflashed. Is any of this correct and if something that needs to be removed is there anything that walks a person through the process.

Thanks

Peter

Peter, I have DD IIs and didn't have a reflash. I think you will need a fueling box to really get the full benefit from them.

I changed the rear brake cylinders to a larger size, made the brakes much more effective. I didn't mess with or remove the proportioning valve. Do a search on brakes and Sam Perterson is the guy who will give you good advice and sell you the parts. The larger cylinders are available at any autoparts store for about $12. 00.
