Since uncle Sam was nice enough to get me some money back from my taxes, I'll be adding DDIIs soon. I know I'll spin my clutch quickly though so soon after I'll be ordering a Southbend Con O. Do you guys think I should put in the clutch first and let it seat down, then put in the injectors or should I put in the DDIIs, go romp on my old clutch to go ahead and burn it out, then put in the Southbend?

Put in B-D3s or better. . then see how long it lasts. Your clutch will hold if you don't abuse it.

get the SBC OFE(better for towing) or FE(stronger) though.

well........

my predicament is that if i go ahead and burn out the clutch... . will i have the funds at that particular point to replace it? if i were you, i would do the clutch first... ... ... . JMVHO

azcummins,

If you stock one burns up I'll give you mine. It was holding 400+hp when I took it out. transmission man said it was still good.

I still have the pressureplate to match.

You should be able to milk many thousands of miles out of the clutch with the injectors and still tromp on the throttle in the lower gears and higher RPM in the upper gears if you can only do one thing right now. I would go for the injectors.

You ever give any thought to Bully Dog Injectors? Just asking... . I just jumped ship from using DD injectors and have now gone to Bully Dog and love them. You might give it some thought.

Doug-

Never thought about Bullydog's. I've always heard rave reviews about Diesel Dynamics and how much research they put into their product. Plus the price is right for me for DDIIs. I'm sure Bullydog's are just as good, I just prefer Diesel Dynamics... kinda like PHORD vs. Dodge right?

I've got the DD's 1's and planning to move up tp DD 3's can you tell me what the differance is between the DD and Bully Dog Injectors. I'm very much pleased with the DD's and thier customer service, but like every one else I want the best I can get.

I also would like to know if the cruise control will still work with the 3'. Thanks, TJ

Almost everyone I talk to say the BD's smoke alot more then the DD's. But as far as HP I guess there isnt really a differance.

In mo you should ge the clutch from Mark then go with the injectors. I would think to get the full use from the injectors you will need a better clutch to benefit from the power.

tjlaffite,

I do not want to knock DD or their products, the injectors they produce are of high quality. Recently I switched from DD to Bully Dog not because I was unhappy with DD but because I wanted to try and obtain more HP than I currently had.

Here is a thread that I started referencing Bully Dog Step V injectors... You should get the brand that you feel will perform the way you want.

By the way my cruise control works fine even with these injectors.

tjlaffite, yes the cruise will still work with 3's.

Mark, if your clutch is handling the EZ, then add the 2's. If your concerned about slipping, then do the clutch first. But that all depends on if you have a line on some injectors.

Fred-

Clutch is fine with the EZ you sold me last year... still love that box. Got a line on the injectors... PM me so we can chat about it.

thanks for the advice.
