DDP and F1 injectors

I already know that the DDP injectors are nozzle replacements. What are the F1 injectors, new injectors or nozzles only?? Just to make sure Im understanding the difference between the two... ... . DDP uses EDM nozzles and hones them and F1 just makes EDM injectors. Is this right, why would I purchase EDM nozzles from one company while the other makes EDM and hones them too?

From everything I have gathered DDP hones out the stock nozzle for 3rd gen injector tips.

F1 has the ability to hone out a stock tip for a 3rd gen nozzle. In general terms F1 markets a new tip all together with EDM'd holes in it.



EDM'ing a new nozzle gives complete flexibility where as honing you are limited to making the exisiting holes larger.

DDP uses an Extrude Hone machine to enlarge the holes in the stock injector nozzles.



F1 uses an EDM machine to drill new holes in new blank injector nozzles they have made for them. You send your injectors to F1 and they install their tips on your injectors and you get your stock tips back.

That sums it up. . . F1 drills new holes in new blanks, that's why their injectors have 8 holes. DDP and everyone else I know of modifies/massages the existing holes. That's not to necessarily say they are "inferior. "

There's been lots of discussion akin to transmission threads regarding EDM vs. EH. Each has its place and works well when applied properly. . . it makes more of a difference how the quality and workmanship is applied than what process is used. I both F1 and DDP offer top notch injectors.

My understanding with regards to the F1 injectors, the nozzles/tips are made to handle extra pressure when running a pressure box.

F1 starts with a blank tip and does not have to depend on bosch is quality control which can very from what i have heard.
