Help me decide:

Known high quality DDP 75 horse injectors for a little under $700 or Stage 2 edge nozzles installed onto my injectors flow and pop tested for about $350?

I know the DDP's are the best, but using the Edge nozzles cuts the price in half. Is it still worth the wait for the DDP's, or should I just go ahead and buy the Edge nozzles next week?

Truck is '01 HO 6spd with walbro, Edge Juice/Attitude (hot), SBC Con OFE, PSM airbox with AFE proguard 7.

Future mods: injectors, ball bearing turbo, 4" exhaust

our mods are about the same, I would recommend 100HP and turn the box down a little, so you can tow AND play!!!
I sent you a PM

Mine also is similar. I just added the Mach 1. 6s and love them. They are designed for towing and really seem to work well with the Edge. The EGTs are lower than the RV275s and on 3X3 it pulls like crazy!

I don't remember what I paid for my edge stage 4's, but $350 for nozzles seem's high! Did you price full injector's, where you send your stock one's in as a core once you get the bigger ones. Plus you won't be down that long by having to get them pop tested. Just pull out the old, install the new! I talked to Rip Rook who I believe is a member on here. I'm sure if you search his name you can find his info. I'm drawing a blank to his business. It's been 2 year's since I did mine and I rarely drive with my box on now! Rip is a great guy to deal with, and friendly! Good luck!

It had been a while, so I checked the site. You can get Jammer stage 3's, which are the 100hp injector's for $455. versus 75hp nozzles for $350. What's a pop test cost?

I don't think my exact question was understood. I can get the Edge 100 hp nozzles flowed, installed, and pop tested onto my injectors for $350 at City Diesel in Decatur, AL. I know that the nozzles by themselves cost less, but what really concerns me about Edge nozzles is that they all flow alike. What I'm really asking is, even though the Edge parts are of lesser quality, is the price good enough to justify the purchase? If it's not, then I'll wait and buy a set of DDPs later when I have the $$.

Yes and no... for the price they are decent. You can have them flow tested as well if you are concerned about flow. That is the advantage to buying complete injectors. Everything is new, they all flow the same, and the pop off psi is the same. If you are going to spend the money on new injectors, get the Mach series from formula 1. They are the best 2nd gen 24 valve injector out there by far. They run cooler for the same power as others with less smoke. Get the biggest ones that you think you would ever want from experience.

i second that. i love my Mach 4s. Very smooth and efficient.

It is better for the injection pump to run bigger injectors and a smaller box. anything from 100-150HP is very drivable with a box on low setting.

Gonna call you out on this one.

Have you run both F1 and DDP injectors? Have you done a side by side towing test? Have you done a back to back dyno test?

No trying to start a war, it's just that you made some strong statements and I was wondering if you can back them up?

I'm a fan of DDP. I think you would be very happy spending the extra dough on them. I don't think anyone else offers a thirty day guarantee on their injectors.

I haven't ever run my truck with F1's, but from the number of folks who pipe up about them, I sure they are a good injector too. But if you are going to say, "they are the best by far", I think you should have actual data to back it up.

I agree that there is a lot of emotional reasoning on the forum sometimes.

I have ran Mach 2 injectors and have been satisfied. I also ran some 150HP (not jammers) that were very clean and drivable.

THERE ARE MANY QUALITY PRODUCTS OUT THERE I am glad we have such good manufactures that people are excited about them.

What are they guaranteeing? That they work? That they are better than anything else? I bought a USED set of Mach 4s and the tips showed signs of wear (unknown miles) and sent them in to Don to check out and I was fully prepared to pay some money for whatever was needed and instead he sent me my injectors back cleaned with brand new tips, washers and o-rings for FREE! He didnt even charge me return shipping! Thats why I love my F1s. Besides the fact they feel 50hp stronger than jammer 5s with less smoke. That my friends is a guarantee;)

If you can spare the cash, my vote is for the DDP's. That's what I have and had a great customer service experience with them that makes me a lifetime customer. I had originally chosen 110hp's from them but after installation I decided they weren't right for my setup. I tried them for about 5 or 6 weeks and around 1k miles. Afterwards, I called them to talk about the situation and they, without hassle, let me exchange the now used injectors for a set of 75's no charge. I paid for shipping, but small change considering the price of a new set of sticks. They didn't have to do that. I was beyond their 30 day exchange period, but they hooked me up anyway. Satisfaction guaranteed! The 75's are just right for my setup and I love them. Couldn't ask for a better company to buy them from.

Typical knuckleheaded response in an injector thread.

What does DDP guarantee? That you if you are not happy with their injectors that you can return them in thirty days for a refund or credit. (see the above post)

As for your experience with Don, good for you and kudos to Don. But that is no guarantee, that would be better classified as customer service.

Try looking here DDP. This might provide some enlightenment.
