Any one have any experience with both of these injectors? They are both well known to flow a lot of fuel. What were your likes or dislikes? Smokey/hazy Idle? To hot on the top end? To Smokey on the bottom end until the charger lights off? Will I need twins or one of the new fangled singles? Are they practical to tow with? I'm currently running a B-1-2t (53 psi at sea level) which has become some what dated technology compared to the new singles

Any input appreciated :D

I really like my DDP4s. :D Absolutely no complaints at all.

Had haze with the 370s I had before. None with these in warm weather. Have some with a cold engine at lower temps, but not anywhere near as bad after the intial start up.

Smoke is about the same as the 370s, but easier to control. EGTs are the same, or slightly lower with the 4s, with more power. I can still to turn day into night at will, if I want. ;) :D

You may need to upgrade the turbo to tow. EGTs were an issue with the 370s (running over 55mph), but haven't had a chance to really tow much with the new sticks. The little bit I have, it wasn't a problem, but I didn't go over 55-60mph or go very far, so I really can't comment on that yet. I do have HTT 64/14 to put on tomorrow. :D Will see what happens towing now.

The Dragon Flows gave me significant benefits over my 370's (which I ran for a few years): less low-end smoke, much better EGT's in overall driving conditions (as much as 200 deg. less), and my best horsepower and 1/4 mile times yet. I have some haze at idle (no more than my 370's), but my motor is built loose and it happens regardless of injectors. I regularly tow a horse trailer with them, but can crank it up and make things as black as I want, when I want. INDUSTRIAL INJECTION delivers! :D

Do the II Dragon flows have the correct spray pattern to hit the 12 valve piston bowl like the factory injectors? I'm pretty sure the DDP's do.

Yo sister !!!!!! wus-sup? ips ten sirt humms fid-ger-rator **** miz 40 ozer

they do... they all do for the most part... except the 370's which were designed for a different piston...

if you wanted to get freaky, you should have someone make you some injectors with a tighter spray pattern to work better w/ advanced timing.

II talked me out of Dragon Flows, so I've got DDP4's

Can you elaborate on the Dragon Flows?

How are the DDP4's working for you? I've heard they are 75hp over and above the marine 370's.

I used to belive this buy I am not so sure that I am convinced of this now. I thought I had read somewhere that they did not have a stock spray angle?

Ross at DDP told me the spray angle is correct.

Actually, IIRC, the DDP4s are rated at 140hp vs 99-100hp for the 370s.

Yep. 140hp.

I've ran, installed and have seen pistons on both after running for along time. 370's are at the edge of the bowl at 18 degrees timing (stock pistons) My I. I. Dragon Flows had a tighter pattern at 24 degrees timing than the truck above did (old short block stock pistons)

Now after seeing the current short block/pistons running 370's the pattern is perfect. The new pistons have a bigger bowl but not as big as a C/R. I've never run the DDP 4's but I can tell you the Dragon Flows work very well and will make a 215 pump seem very big on flow and HP. It's not just the nozzles but the internal changes and pop pressures and they don't idle with as much and definitely no more smoke than my bone stock 370's.

I can't really elaborate on the Dragon Flows... all I can say is when I was talking to II about an SPS66 asking about the Dragon Flows, they kinda talked me out of them... now I see them recomending them more and more to guys w/ similar goals/combos :(

but the DDP4's work great. great mileage!

Dragon fly's might be better suited for you and for me, I have mine and will test them to the hilt before making a change to anything smaller. I really doubt I will because they would be better for the bottle.

Just have your stocks edm'd bigger then you don't have to worry about the spray pattern on them because it's the stock tips if you need this pm me I'll get you what you want. ;)

I may be in the market for a new set of injectors. I get an idle haze w/ my OLD (8-9 years) Diesel Dynamics Stage III's. They were State-of-the-art at the time. They still idle smooth as glass. I get a low boost haze too. I have a PS62/12.

Does anybody discount the DDP Stage 4's? Or do I need to buy them from DD. I am poor.

DDP has had several sales on the 3's and 4's. I got in on one of them. Great price. :D I think Signal73 got in on the last one I knew of.

I have not ran DDP4s, but I have a set of dragon flows in my truck now, and can't say enough good things about them. I have not had a chance to dyno yet, but It feels like I got close to 200hp over the 370's I was running. They drive WAY better than the previous 370's I had. Light haze when the truck is cold, goes away when it warms up. Great throttle response, good mpg during cruise. This is the injector you want to run to make BIG #'s on the street. I would recomend a larger single, OR twins :) My twins love the new found fuel! I would call industrial injection and talk to Brady about your intentions, he won't sell you stuff you don't need, and will help point you in the right direction for the parts you need. Good luck, let us know what you decide!

sure did, $100 off what they list them on there site for... Still running them also. Biggest difference I noticed over 370's were less egt's+smoke, but more power throughout the rpm range. When I had my head off for o-rings, I did notice they hit slightly outside the bowl. wish I had got a pic.

There is a few more things done to a quality performance injector than just opening up the holes.

not sure how to take that post, but everybody know you have to go though them and replace and clean and then test ect. but if we all say exactly what is done to them why buy them from someone you could have you own done for alot less then you can buy them. Like mine are my stock one's that have been gone though and edm's for a 1/4 of what you can buy a set from II and DDP for the same setup.

Don't take this post wrong but if we tell all. The performance shops wouldn't be here for us because we would do it all are selfs just like the homemade fuel plates.

The reason I said it like that is people worry about spray pattern on the other tips use your stock and they are already the right spray pattern unless you put in the wrong thickness of copper washer which then make the tip to close or to far away from the piston to place spray in the bowl right.
