I bought a set of used DDP stage 4's to replace 370's. Now the truck smokes more and has less power. Any ideas? When I changed injectors, I used the thinner washers.

DDP4 should have more HP than the 370's. Depends on how old they are. The early DDP4's actually are the same size as the DDP3's. As always buying used, perhaps they aren't DDP4's??

It is common for honed injectors from most companies to smoke more. Black or white smoke? Also, the 370 pistons lower compression a lot. If the block wasn't decked, you might be around 15. 2-15. 5 to 1. Even if decked . 010 to . 020" with the thin stock head gasket (3283335), you probably won't reach 16 to 1. The lower compression is OK for maximum power, but drivability, espcially cold, will not be as good. You will get a trail of white smoke (unburned fuel) until it warms up. Gray smoke means a mixture of white and black (partially burned fuel).
