This will be much shoter than the post I have in gen. ???'s

Anyone used the DDRP and relocate kit to solve our dreaded lift pump problem? Sounds like it would be a great match!

Thanks

I'll be installing mine this weekend, along with 1/2 line from DDRP to fuel filter. My FP was down to 12idle and 5wot and very hard to start on cold mornings.

I'll keep you posted

I did it on mine and I love it. I have the Vulcan big line kit on it from Genos that I was running with the carter pump. My fuel pressure at idle is around 20# and I cant get it to drop below about 11-12# at full throttle under 30-35 lbs boost. The reason I went with this pump is because if something would happen to it I can still get a carter at an autoparts store and swap it in an a emergency situation if Im out of town. It has a 4 yr warranty too. You need to get the relo. bracket if you do the relo. kit also.

Thanks for the replies everyone! For the piece of mine, to me it's worth it! I'll be giving Old Geno a call and get things going. Till now, I've been just changing out the pump every 65k just to be safe, but around that time, the pressure is already on the down hill! My original "44" is got 230k on it, so heeding all the warnings pays off! I also think, that using Stanadyne Additive is also keeping it alive!

Done

Took about 3 hrs, filled the fuel filter, cycled the key twice she started right up to 20lbs :D. I slid the bracket between the fuel lines and the frame ran the line from the tank past the DDRP about 5" then double the hose back to the in side of the pump. This way I did not have to bend the fuel line way out. I have a long bed so I used the first clip toward the tank to mount the bracket. The only thing I wish I would have replaced is the two banjo's from the fuel filter to the VP44 to the bigger flowing ones, oh well maybe next time.

I sure glad I never had to replace the stock carter, in the factory location what a PIA.
