While pulling Snoqualmie Pass in Washington State yesterday I was running in OD @ 75+= MPH (No LOAD) & couldn't get above 2200 RPM's... . Was I "defueling" & that was why I couldn't get the RPM's up over 2200 & why did this occur? Any ideas?
maybe due to the grade and the altitude you were using all the power that the engine could make and you simply could not accelerate anymore. i know that this happens to me occasionally. (not since the JVD ) being that you have a stock truck that would be where my money would go. i am not sure about the exact RPM but my 99 "feels" like it defuels around 2700 rpm or so.
I don't think it could be "gelling". The pass temp is extremely warm this year (not a trace of snow) Hoping the dealer replaces the LP today & corrects the problem.
I will update this afternoon when I get my truck back.
