Heres the problem. I have a late 01' Ram and it sometimes has no throttle response. Every once and awhile I can put the pedal to the floor and nothing happens. It will slowly make its way up to about 58mph and then all of a sudden its like somebody flipped a switch and she takes off. I replaced the APPS and checked the fuel pressure and it stays at about 11psi under a good load. It does throw a few codes... 1693, 0230, 0216. The truck has 100hp injectors, comp, AFE intake, and 5 inch. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Just went through this myself, ended up replacing my VP44, your injection pump. Do a few searches on 0216.

Probably not what you wanted to hear, esp since this is your 1st post. Welcome to the TDR.

I had the same thing and had no codes. I replaced VP but it turned out to be MAP sensor issue. But in your case code 216 = dead VP.

Yep, 0216 means you need a new VP. Hate that for you as that will cost you a least a grand, but be glad it didn't leave you on the side of the road. You should have some good reliability after you get the new VP, just make sure you have your fuel supply side taken care of so it lasts a long time.

Good luck on the repair, Matt

I kinda figured it was the vp but I was hoping for a second opinion of something else to check. Thanks for all the help everybody.
