I am posting this for a friend, its a 02 auto bone stock, driving down the road it will start to slow down you can floor it but does nothing? It has a P1757 code. IS IT VP time? It has 85,000 on it would that be covered under waranty?

Thanks Kurt

I haven't got that code yet, but my 2000 with the 5 spd does the same thing when the cruise is set, stab the clutch pedal and it comes right back. It also blows some white smoke/smoke rings and misses if you try to take off shortly after start up (any idea's?) but once warmed up run's like a raped ape. I purchased a used van Aaken box, not sure if this is the culprit or not... ... ... ...

Don't guess at the problem...

P1757 GOV Press Not Equal to Target @

15-20 PSI

The requested pressure and the actual pressure are not

within a tolerance band for the Governor Control System

which is used to regulate governor pressure to control

shifts for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd gear (Zero Pressure

Malfunction)

Bob has you on the right track.
