I have a RB4 Navigation radio in a 04. 5 2500. The radio started to go on and off by itself. Soon after the radio just stop working. Fuses are good, has anyone had this problem or know where I can ship the radio to be serviced.

I had a similar problem with my truck. Same year, same radio. I finally found that one one the wiring bundles for the radio was routed right over the parking brake mechanism, and operating the parking brake would short out one of the wires. The problem got worse, and would occasionally blow a fuse. Most of the time, the short would reset the Sirius radio and I'd have to reset the station. Tied up the wire bundle to keep it from snagging on the parking brake and it's been happy since. I haven't even taped up the damaged wire yet. Good luck.

Welcome to the TDR. If this helps, your first year subscription just paid for itself. :)

warranty

J- Just took my truck to the dealer to check my RB4. Told the service writer that the radio would forget presets, then, after restarting the truck, it would remember them. Sometimes it would not play in stereo, then other times it would. It seemed to happen randomly. Dealer checked it out, and said it was an issue on some units and that they would replace it under warranty. Don't know if that would work in your situation, but it might be worth a try. Bruce
