Having problems with an '01 2500. Have some friends that come south every winter and stay in our park. Their truck has 107K miles and has never had anything except routine service, not even a replacement lift pump. I installed a Superchip program in it for them this week. They drove around for several days and the truck ran great. They left with their 5th wheel on Thursday. Made it about 50 miles and the truck shut off completely. I went to them and checked the codes with the tuner and got 4. They were PO253, PO251, P1688, and PO252. I erased the codes and removed the program. Didn't think about checking the codes with the ignition switch until I had erased them and the odometer showed a 1693. My 98. 5's don't have this feature. The truck won't start so we have it towed back to my place. Did the usual things like draining the filter and checking for water, found none but there wasn't much fuel in the filter housing. Took the filter out, it was just installed before their trip south, looked fine. Lift pump will run but is not pumping anything. Haven't checked voltage yet but I would think that it should pump something if it ran. We're going to replace the pump tomorrow just bacause of the miles. This probably won't fix the truck but need to start somewhere. Looks like something shut down the whole fuel system. These folks are retired but they do have sick folks at home. If I sent them to a dealer or to Cummins, there is no telling how much of a bill they would hit them with. They would probably just replace everything. Any info on this would be very much appreciated, maybe someone has had this happen before. Thanks, Kenny
